County pay penalty

Morton scored two late goals to earn a vital point in an entertaining 2-2 draw with leaders Ross County.

The visitors failed to convert the first chance of the match as Andrew Jackson's effort wasn't good enough to beat Michael Fraser who made a routine save.

County took the lead just after the half-hour mark when Michael Gardyne was on hand to fire home Iain Vigurs' cross.

Gardyne could have added a second minutes later but his shot was well blocked by Michael Tidser.

The hosts doubled the advantage just before the hour mark, Richard Brittain's free-kick leaving Alan Combe with no chance.

Archie Campbell pulled a goal back three minutes from time with a fine strike from the edge of the box.

An unlikely comeback was complete deep into stoppage time when Peter Weatherson netted from the spot after Scott Boyd handled inside the area.
