MacDonald restores parity as Morton fight back
It's as you were at the top of the Scottish First Division as two goals from Peter MacDonald saw leaders Morton come from behind to draw 2-2 with second-placed Partick.
In Alan Archibald's first game in charge, his side took the lead after just nine minutes as they looked to close the eight-point gap at the top.
Aaron Sinclair crossed from the left and Chris Erskine converted from 12 yards for his 10th goal of the campaign.
His strike partner Steven Craig made it 2-0 early in the second half by heading in Ross Forbes' cross.
But Morton, who had won their last four games prior to the fixture, fought back to protect their advantage at the top.
MacDonald's first was a low free-kick from 30-yards that crept into Scott Fox's goal, and he equalised from the penalty spot after Hugh Murray handled in the area.
Murray was sent-off four minutes later for a second caution, the second time this season he had been dismissed at Cappielow Park, but his side still have three games in hand on their opponents.
