Morton 0-2 Queen of South- Match Report

QoS back to winning ways

Queen of South secured their first victory since the opening day of the season with a 2-0 victory away at Morton.

After three games without a goal, Queen of South finally found the back of the net when Iain Russell headed home for the visitors just minutes before the half-time whistle.

Former Morton striker Derek Lyle then doubled Queen of South's lead in the 58th minute with a neat right-footed finish.

Russell nearly turned villain after he conceded a penalty for handball on the hour-mark but fortunately for Morton, Reece Hands failed to reduce the deficit as he blasted over from the spot.

Queen of South move above Morton, who are now winless in their last five.
