The match was due to take place at 2pm, at Guys Meadow, home of Cumbernauld United JFC.
With Morton lying 6th in the Reserve League West, a full 11 points ahead of Airdrie (albeit having played 3 games more than the Diamonds), today's game would have been an important one. As well as allowing the 'Ton's reserves a chance to consolidate in the upper reaches of the table, it may also have given recently-injured and fringe players, such as Shaun Dillon and Scott Bannerman, a chance to get some sharpness back. As it stands, there is no re-arranged date for the fixture.
Guys Meadow (pictured above) is no stranger to ground frost; it was an ancient Viking burial site before before bought by Cumbernauld United in 1960. It was then shipped to the central belt by a fleet of catamarans.
