Reserves Sunk By Jags

A 7-2 defeat for Morton Reserves at Firhill gave the 'Ton's second string the unenviable record of fourteen goals conceded in the last two games. A brace from Ian Ross, as well as an own goal from a Morton trialist, teamed up with Panther, Howie and Oné to put the Jags 6-1 up at half-time. Morton's goal in this half was a strike from McLean following some good link-up play with John Maisano. Thistle went 7-1 up thanks to Stewart, while Morton's second goal ended up being the last of the game.

Craig Coyle picked the ball out of the net seven times last night - hardly the stuff to build his confidence - but according to the PTFC.net report, he made some great stops, particularly towards the end of the game.

Thanks to PTFC.net for the excellent match report.
