When Irish Eyes Are Smiling...

The latest name to be thrown to the ravenous wolves that comprise the Morton support is that of Roddy Collins, manager of Eircom League side Dublin City FC. Collins, a controversial and charismatic footballing figure on the Emerald Isle, is allegedly interested in trying his hand at a British league side. However, the fact that the Metro only broke the story this morning, a full six days after the deadline for managerial applications was passed, suggests that it's simply more speculative nonsense to match the "Gazza for Cappielow" piece from earlier this week (see link at end of article.)

His Dublin squad currently lie eight points adrift at the foot of Ireland's top league, as his high-profile signings - including former Wimbledon ace Efan Ekoku - fail to give the Vikings the impetus they need to climb the table.
