McInally Spotted At Reserve League East Fixture

*By you, I of course mean me.

Sources indicate that Jim McInally took a solo trip to McDiarmid Park on Tuesday night, where he witnessed a strong St. Johnstone Reserve side overcoming their Arbroath counterparts 2-0. Chris Hay and Steven McConalogue - both first-team players last season, the latter with Clyde - scored the goals. Other notable appearances included those of goalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert, midfielder Martyn Fotheringham and former Morton stalwart Alan Mahood.

With McInally most likely waiting until January to strengthen the squad, he may be ensuring that he's well-appraised of all the options before this time. Bringing in first division reserves - even on loan - would be a shrewd move if they were in the correct position to ensure a strong Morton squad. Obviously.
