St. Mirren Reserves 3 - Morton Reserves 1

On Tuesday night at Love Street, a Morton reserve side succumbed 3-1 to local rivals St. Mirren. Morton's goal came from the penalty spot but despite this they couldn't hold their own against the Paisley side. Scott Bannerman and Kenny McLean put in a good shift but the inexperienced Morton side clearly were not the better side on the day.

The next reserve outing is scheduled for this Sunday, a home tie against Albion Rovers. Perhaps former Skunk hero Mark Yardley will make an appearance for the Coatbridge outfit.
