Slight Change Of Plan - Game Off

A late pitch inspection at Station Park produced a surprise result today: the second division clash between Forfar Athletic and Greenock Morton has been postponed. This is welcome news for 'Ton manager Jim McInally, who is now hopeful that Stuart Greacen will recover from his leg injury in time for the next league fixture. The news may be greeted in a more frosty manner by the Morton faithful who set off for Angus this morning, safe in the knowledge that the game was on. However, anything that can help secure us three points - such as an uninjured defensive line - has to be celebrated in the long run.

At this point, the third division match at Links Park between Montrose and East Stirlingshire is the only other game to fall victim to the weather; Montrose, being only a few miles from Forfar, is also feeling the chill.
