Rovers hope to add McCann
Raith hope to add former Morton player Kevin McCann to their squad on a short term deal ahead of kick-off against the Greenock side at Stark's Park.
The Kirkcaldy side miss Dougie Hill as he is banned following his sending off against leaders Hamilton Accies last weekend however Paul Watson is fit again.
Reece Donaldson is free of a ban and Joe Cardle has shaken off a knock he picked up at New Douglas Park.
"Morton will be hurting after losing 5-1 to Cowdenbeath and we need to be ready from them to make amends," manager Grant Murray said.
Bottom of the table Morton are hoping that skipper Mark McLaughlin will return to the starting XI against Rovers after last weekend's error ridden defensive display in the 5-1 defeat from Cowdenbeath.
Thomas O'Ware (foot), Reece Hands (hip) and David O'Brien (shoulder) are again ruled out with Tony Wallace, Kabba-Modou Cham and Scott Taggart all injury doubts.
Cappielow manager Allan Moore said: "The players know that it was a poor performance last weekend and that we are capable of much better.
"We showed against Celtic in the Scottish League Cup and Hamilton in the league what a good team we can be. It is time to start showing that again."
