Morton V Cowdenbeath at Cappielow Park - Match Preview

O'Brien back for basement boysBottom-placed Morton can call on the services of David O'Brien against fellow strugglers Cowdenbeath

O'Brien is included for the first time since he dislocated a shoulder in the Scottish League Cup win over Celtic in September

However, the Greenock side are without Tony Wallace and Reece Hands through pelvic injuries and manager Kenny Shiels released striker Kabba-Moudo Cham this week with new signing Rowan Vine in line to take his place.Shiels said: "We have steadied things with four games undefeated, however Cowdenbeath have actually out-performed us by winning their last two games."We now have to turn good performances into wins and this would be a great game to start doing that."Winger Jordan Morton is the only injury doubt for Cowdenbeath with a back injury as Shiels' former assistant at Kilmarnock, Jimmy Nicholl, looks to lead the Fifers to a third win in a row.Nicholl said: "We gave the players some time off after a couple of great results and they have come back in and trained really hard."Going into this game on the back of two wins is great but it has not changed much as we are still second bottom."A third win would be terrific, however it will be difficult as Kenny has Morton settled down and playing well."
