Fitness boost for Blue Brazil
Morton are again without the injured trio of Steven Stirling, Archie Campbell and Peter MacDonald as they welcome Cowdenbeath to Cappielow.
Manager Allan Moore is looking for his men to build on a new formation that has been introduced following striker Campbell's absence with a pelvic problem.
Moore said: "We have changed our approach since Archie dropped out a couple of games ago and it is settling in well.
"We created a lot of chances at Dumbarton last week when we won 5-1 and also stopped their attacking play as well.
"We will go with the same approach although I am sure Cowdenbeath will make it difficult for us. This is a game that we are expected to win and the players have to handle that expectation as well."
Cowdenbeath have been boosted by the return of a handful of players ahead of the trip.
Player-manager Colin Cameron, Marc McKenzie, Kenny Adamson and Pablo Navas are fit again after injury as the Blue Brazil go looking for their first league win in nine outings.
However, Scott Linton and Liam Cusack both remain out with knee injuries.
Cameron said: "The squad is a lot bigger than it looked like it would be earlier in the week.
"This game is a very different challenge to our last couple of home games against Dumbarton and Airdrie as we will not see as much of the ball as we did in those games.
"They have good, experienced players and carry a threat at set pieces but we are not just going to make up the numbers."
