Morton V Airdrie Utd at Cappielow Park - Match Preview

Reid completes suspension

Morton's Craig Reid sits out the second game of a two-match ban when Airdrie visit Cappielow.

Manager Allan Moore is also without Steven Stirling, who is continuing to recover from a broken leg.

Mark McLaughlin (hip) and Archie Campbell (groin) are doubts and whilst Tony Wallace and Kyle Wilkie are fit again, a lack of games could keep them out.

Moore said: "If we are to win we need to keep playing in the fine attacking way we did at Raith Rovers last week that saw us create lots of chances and score three goals.

"However, we need to defend better as losing three goals and only drawing on a day when Dunfermline were beaten and Partick were not playing was disappointing."

Airdrie have Jack Boyle and John Boyle both suspended.

New signing Liam Buchanan is in line to make his debut as a result.

The Diamonds are also without defender Cameron MacDonald due to injury.

However, Sean Lynch is added to the squad after overcoming a calf problem, although he may have to be content with a place on the substitutes' bench.

Manager Jimmy Boyle said: "Morton defeated us 3-2 in our last meeting but, to be honest, the score-line was tighter than the game was.

"They are an excellent side but we will go there after a couple of draws and work hard.

"We know it will take a major performance from us to win the game but that is our aim."
