Mostly because I'm nowhere near Cappielow when they take place.

Anyway, Alex Williams, cementing his recent reputation as one who can score when the pressure is off but not for the first team, netted a hat-trick today against the Coatbridge club's reserves. One would hope that increased exposure to the back of the net will gradually see the jug eared progidal son's form return to help Morton's first team climb out of mid-table mediocrity. However, for now, the reserve side recorded a convincing victory. Morton's second string thus bounces back following its 3-1 defeat at Love Street last week.

The reserve team's next outing comes on October 24th, as they face Stranraer Reserves away from home.
