Morton 2 Forfar 1 - Post Match Guff

As pointed out by one of the good people on mortonunofficial.net, yesterday's victory over the Loons is the first time that Morton have come from behind to win in over a year. Interestingly enough, the last time such a feat was managed was against Forfar at Station Park, when Morton lost two early goals but still managed to claw three back.

Yesterday marked the quarter-of-the-season nine game mark, and some statistics make for grim reading. With Morton being unaccustomed to making comeback, it is perhaps worrying that in 5 out of the 9 games so far, the opposition has scored first. We have won one of these (yesterday), drawn one, and lost three. However, in what should provide food for thought for interim manager Joe McLaughlin, who waits until the 2nd half before putting on in-form Jason Walker, when Morton score first in the league, they win - four wins from four openers. Morton have yet to be involved in a 0-0 draw.
