Iain Diack Heads To 'Shire On Loan Deal

Fringe forward Iain Diack will soon head off to the sunny climes of Bainsford, as Morton send the ex-Albion Rovers player off on a one-month loan deal.

The striker has made only a few first team appearances since his arrival at Cappielow early this summer, with long spells of injury and illness all too often consigning him to the treatment table. What little match fitness he's managed to muster has mostly been spent in the reserves. As such, 'Ton boss Jim McInally sees it as beneficial to both Morton and East Stirlingshire that he plies his trade in a first team - even if it is towards the foot of the Third Division. Morton will benefit from having a fringe player regain some much-needed match sharpness, while the Shire can look forward to the services of a player well experienced in the lower leagues, with a spell at Arbroath matching his earlier career at Cliftonhill.
