Scott, pictured left, presided over the most successful spell in Morton's history, only four short years ago. Crowds often swelled to 13,000 as Morton overcame the finest teams in Europe. Frequently, Scott would feed the entire attendance using only five pies and two bovrils.
Scott, whilst taking a break from his duties in immunising local orphans against typhoid, had this to say. "I'm delighted, me. Of course, I've never been the type to enter into any venture merely to attain money or status. I just love this area, and everyone in it - and I'm glad that old Liz recognises that I'm just doing my bit."
Scott has not ruled out the possibility of amassing more shares in Morton should current incumbents decide to sell out. "There's a lot still to do at Cappielow. The place is constantly buzzing. It's like a shipyard. And we all know what that means."
