Inclement weather in Angus seemed likely to put paid to Forfar's hope of snatching a victory over Morton as snow hit the East Coast last night. However, www.forfarathletic.co.uk reports that a successful pitch inspection has taken place, and that today's Division Two fixture will go ahead as normal.

The avoidance of potential springtime fixture congestion is surely of little solace to 'Ton boss Jim McInally, who is without both his first-choice centre-backs - Stewart Greacen and Stuart McCluskey - going into today's match. It seems probable that Morton will field an unorthodox defensive lineup featuring some of the following: Keenan, Collins, McCulloch (freshly returned from injury), Gilbride, Millar and even Weatherson.
