Another Loan Signing Arrives

Scott McLaughlin, the 20 year old Livingston midfielder, has arrived on loan today. Described by GMFC.net as a "left-sided midfield player", Scott has made over 20 starting apperances and several more substitute outings for the Lions over the last three seasons, including seven starts during this campaign. With Stuart Lovell once again in the picture at Livi, the temporary move to Morton seems an ideal move for both player and club. McLaughlin will get some much-needed first team action, whilst Morton will hopefully have found the answer to the midfield "emptiness" problem that has plagued them for seasons now.

McLaughlin is eligible to play tomorrow versus Brechin City in a match that could make or break Morton's season. It remains to be seen whether or not Jim McInally will take a chance on the new arrival or stick with recent line-ups.
